The Great Debate: Cut, Color or Extend…

I’m having a real big problem, y’all.

 

 

Drum roll please…

 

(And it has nothing to do with politics, the election, or anything important, really –  so my apologies if the title is misleading)

 

I want to do something different with my hair. I probably shouldn’t include the word “cut” in this dilemma, because I have ZERO intentions of cutting my hair – been there, done that, not for me! So here’s the deal: I have a hair appointment tomorrow, and I’m scheduled for my usual highlight + trim (= boring!). My last appointment was just over 6 weeks ago, so I don’t really need fresh highlights, which got me thinking… I could use this as an opportunity to do something fun! Since a radical style/cut is out of the cards for me (I’m determined to have mermaid hair next summer), I’ve been looking at different colors and highlight options, and so far, these are the two I like the most:

Option one: darker blonde lowlights

Option two: what my husband refers to as “Pepper Pots Red”

There is also an option three. I could forgo my hair appointment altogether and make a mini-investment in a set of extensions in my current color. I’ve been thinking about it for a while, and in light of my upcoming trip to Vancouver (i.e. high humidity/likelihood of daily rain/imminent possibility that I will not be able to curl or heat style my hair at all, lol). I’ve been looking at this set at Sally’s, but I’m open to suggestions if you have any!

So… that’s my big dilemma! Feedback, please!!
